What is IAAS?                  

















Introduction :

                 IAAS (International Association of Students in Agricultural and Related Science ) is the biggest international student organization(non-profit and non-political) in the field of agriculture and related science. Its headquarter is located in Leuven, Belgium. IAAS was founded in Tunis in 1957 and started with only 8 member countries. It augmented a lot and able to involve over 50 countries along with more than 50,000 members successfully within it.

                 This association procures the global network connecting the enthusiastic and innovative mind having students of agricultural and related science globally. At the moment it is one of the world's biggest student organizations and one of the leading agricultural student's associations. IAAS gathers students studying, majoring or researching in agriculture and related areas like environmental sciences, forestry, food science, landscape architecture, etc

IAAS's vision:
                 “To promote the exchange of experience, knowledge, and ideas, and to improve the mutual understanding between students in the field of agriculture and related sciences all over the world."















          

Aims:
              To gather the students that take an active role as leaders (i.e having leadership ability ), enter professional life with innovative ideas and somehow can contribute to the sustainable development in their field of activity. It aims to promote and disseminate the ideas and knowledge by carrying on appropriate programs, seminars, workshops, training, and various events in national as well as international arena.

The main element of IAAS is the National Committees (NC) and Local Committees (LC), groups and/or associations of students in universities all over the world working for the association. They organize and run activities like Seminars, Working Camps, Village Concept Projects.

Why IAAS in Nepal 


      IAAS Nepal is an open platform to the students of Agriculture and Related Sciences and is ready to accept any creative idea from the students over Nepal so that idea proceeds up to thousands of students and valuable remarks and rewards. IAAS Nepal is dedicated to connecting the students of the similar filed and harmonize their effort in the progressive development of the different aspects of the agriculture and related sciences. Nepal being an agricultural country, fetches many prospects, opportunities, scope in the field of agriculture. Let’s get involved together with IAAS Nepal to uplift  Nepalese agriculture status.
